What’s On Tonight: Bublé and Bennett are the last men standing (and crooning) in the TV holiday war
Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Tuesday, December 20. All times are Eastern.
Michael Bublé Sings And Swings (NBC, 8 p.m.): There isn’t a whole lot of new TV to go around in the week leading up to Christmas, so Michael Bublé wins this round somewhat by default. Not that we don’t love a good croon. But when the press release reads “Bublé sings fan favorite pop hits as well as jazz standards that he has perfected over his career,” it’s likely that this concert special will be a lot like his last concert special, and the one before that and the one before that. Which is to say, not very special. This show does stand out, however, for being recorded in Manchester. No, not the one by the sea. That wouldn’t be a very fun concert …
