Strand Of Oaks’ latest, Heal, landed at no. 11 on The A.V. Club’s Best Albums of 2014 list, marking it as a solidly loved piece of musical mastery. And the group showed its emotional and instrumental prowess last year when it stopped by our Undercover room to cover Asia’s 1982 hit “Heat Of The Moment,” complete with fake roses. So it should go without saying that at least some of us are fans. That’s why we’re premiering a new acoustic version of the group’s “Plymouth” sung by frontman Timothy Showalter at New York’s new Ace Hotel.
