Newswire: Transparent’s second season will debut this December
People seem to like season one of Transparent. It’s been nominated for a bunch of awards—some of which it won—and it’s been renewed for a third season even though the second has yet to hit Amazon’s servers. The wait for more Jewish family dysfunctionality now has an end point, however, as the show’s creators have announced that season two will be available in its entirety on December 4.
The news was revealed at the Television Critics’ Association press tour by a panel that included showrunner Jill Soloway, executive producer Andrea Sperling, and cast members Jeffrey Tambor, Jay Duplass, Amy Landecker, Judith Light, Alexandra Billings, and Bradley Whitford. A short teaser of the upcoming season was shown, and according to Variety, highlights included “a wedding, an ultrasound, and Maura (Tambor) yelling, ‘Yas, Queen!’”
