The childhood home of high-ranking Rebel Alliance leader Luke Skywalker is now being used as a way station for real-life terrorist group ISIS.
Tataouine—which is how it’s spelled in real life, as opposed to Skywalker’s home planet of Tatooine—the area of Tunisia that inspired the most popular backwater planet in the galaxy, has experienced increased traffic from terrorists looking to enter Libya and join up with ISIS. Last week, terrorists attacked the National Bardo Museum in the nation’s capital, Tunis, killing 23 and leaving many others wounded. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack, resulting in several countries issuing warnings about traveling in Tunisia.
