Newswire: The Saddest Landscape offers forgiveness for “Souls Worth Saving”

Since 2002 The Saddest Landscape has been a lynchpin of the Northeast’s post-hardcore scene. And while Topshelf Records won’t release the band’s fifth full-length, Darkness Forgives, until October 23, it’s also releasing a 7-inch in advance to make the wait a little less agonizing. Featuring an exclusive B-side, the 7-inch also contains “Souls Worth Saving,” a track from Darkness Forgives that The A.V. Club is premiering below. “Souls Worth Saving” expands upon 2012’s After The Lights, seeing the band become more aggressive—coming off like a grind band in the early goings—while carving out pockets of space for it to incorporate hardcore-like sing-alongs without ever letting the energy dip.

Pre-orders for the 7-inch are available now, The Saddest Landscape’s tour dates are below, and sign up to be notified when the album goes up for pre-order here.
