Newswire: The Force Awakens is finished, J.J. Abrams is “terrified” to release it

Here’s a statement that people who hate fun have been waiting to hear for a long time: The Force Awakens comes out in a less than a month, and the movie is finally finished. That means we’ve almost reached the point where the Star Wars-averse never have to hear about it again. (Aside from all of the post-movie articles people will write about it, its two sequels, and all of those standalone spin-offs.)

Director J.J. Abrams made this announcement during a Q&A with Stephen Colbert at the Montclair Film Festival in New Jersey. Specifically, he explained that he had been awake until 2:30 that morning “working on the final mixes,” and he only stopped at that point because he realized, “I have to get to the Montclair Film Festival.” He said there were “six very small, but important things” that he still had to do …
