Newswire: The Catch showrunner exits due to “creative differences”

ABC’s The Catchfrom Shonda Rhimes’s Shondaland—has already done some recasting, and now the thriller is undergoing a creative change of hands as well. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer Schur, who developed the show alongside Rhimes and Betsy Beers, has departed the Shondaland family because of “creative differences,” Hollywood’s favorite vague reason for exiting a project. Waiting in the wings was Shondaland veteran Allan Heinberg, who is now in talks to take over The Catch. Heinberg’s Shondaland producing and writing credits include Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy.

The Catch follows a seasoned con man named Kiernan, who was originally supposed to be played by Damon Dayoub and was replaced by Parenthood‘s Peter Krause.
