Newswire: The American Film Institute names its top 10 movies and TV shows of 2015

Last year, the ranking-averse American Film Institute decided to break the rules of year-end lists even further by putting 11 movies on its list of the top 10 films of the year. Thankfully, things are back in order this year, at least in terms of following arbitrary rules about how many top things you’re allowed to pick in a year. However, there’s still no order to the picks, so it’s impossible to actually determine which movie or TV show the AFI thought was The Best.

The AFI’s favorite movies are fairly predictable, with critical darlings Carol, Room, and Mad Max: Fury Road all making an appearance.
