Newswire: That series based on The Mist is actually happening

With the blood of Under The Dome‘s bisected cow still warm on the ground, another Stephen King story is about to be adapted into a TV show: The Mist. That comes from Deadline, which says the project was spearheaded by writer Christian Torpe (creator of the Danish series Rita) and has the “blessing” of King—who also gave his blessing to Under The Dome, which is merely a statement of fact and not a knock on the judgement of one of America’s most beloved authors.

As people with reasonable memories may recall, The Mist was originally a novella, and it was adapted into a movie by Frank Darabont in 2007.
