Newswire: She’s All That is getting a remake

Because teen comedy from 1999 about a shallow high school jock who attempts to turn an artsy girl into prom queen is the type of story that apparently still resonates with viewers in 2015, a remake of She’s All That is in the works. The original film starred Freddie Prinze Jr. and the late Paul Walker as popular friends at a Southern California school who make a bet on whether Prinze’s character can mold a shy, unpopular girl (Rachel Leigh Cook) into high-school royalty in just six weeks. The Prinze himself seems less than thrilled with the news, and voiced that opinion by commenting on a random Twitter user’s disgust with Hollywood for churning out yet another remake:
