Newswire: Netflix has ousted its Girlboss

Netflix is still sticking with its renewed commitment to cancelling stuff, and just a few weeks after giving Sense8 and The Get Down the proverbial axe, it has decided to cut one-season comedy series Girlboss as well. This comes from Deadline, which notes that the show was “poorly reviewed” and had a main character that “was not very likable,” so it seems like a safe assumption that the show wasn’t very popular with Netflix users.

Girlboss was based on Sophia Amoruso’s autobiography, and it starred Britt Robertson as a fictionalized version of Amoruso as she transforms from a “rebellious, broke anarchist” to, well, a girl who is the boss.
