Newswire: MTV orders three new comedies and an unscripted show from Girl Code’s Nicole Byer

MTV has a lot of holes to fill in its schedule, especially since it doesn’t play music videos anymore—a tired joke that has now gone on longer than the period of time in which MTV actually played music videos—so, according to Deadline, it has picked up a bunch of new shows that are all created by and/or targeted to female viewers. Take that, patriarchy.

Three of the new shows are scripted, and one—Ladylike—is a hidden camera show from the creators of the network’s Girl Code. We don’t really know what Ladylike will be like, but the official description says it will be a prank show that tries to “redefine what it means to be ‘ladylike’” and “challenge societal norms and unleash uncompromising and ridiculous situations on the unsuspecting public.” Ladylike will be hosted by Nicole Byer, Jade Catta-Preta, Matteo Lane, and Blair …
