Newswire: Modest Mouse’s Isaac Brock to reissue his Ugly Casanova album

Remember back in 2002, when Isaac Brock from Modest Mouse made an album that sounded like Modest Mouse, but with different musicians, so he called it Ugly Casanova instead? Well, Sub Pop sure hopes you do, and also, they’d like it if you lost your copy, and need to get a new one. Pitchfork reports the label will be re-releasing the Ugly Casanova album Sharpen Your Teeth, a record that’s been out of print on vinyl for some time now. This new edition will come with four bonus tracks, one of which is an unreleased cut from the original studio sessions, bearing the very Modest Mouse-esque title “They Devised A Plan To Fuck Forever.”

Despite the obvious songwriting dominance of Brock, the album is actually performed by a bit of an indie-rock supergroup, including Tim Rutili of Califone, Pall Jenkins of The Black Heart Procession, and John Orth …
