Newswire: Marvel recruits GOTG and Inside Out scribes to write a Captain Marvel script
Just as director Michelle MacLaren departs DC’s Wonder Woman, Marvel’s first foray into the female-driven superhero movie, Captain Marvel, appears to be gaining momentum. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel is in negotiations with both Nicole Perlman, co-writer of last year’s Guardians Of The Galaxy, and Meg LeFauve, co-writer of Pixar’s upcoming Inside Out, to write the film.
Like the fusing of Captain Marvel‘s (a.k.a. Carol Danvers) Kree and human DNA, Marvel is looking to fuse the talents of Perlman and LeFauve. Marvel Studios president/picker-of-projects/rescuer of Spider-Man Kevin Feige apparently likes both the screenwriter’s takes, and wants to see what happens when they are mashed together into a single story.
LeFauve and Perlman haven’t collaborated before, but that shouldn’t be a problem for Marvel. The two writers could be snatched up by S.H.I.E.L.D …
