Newswire: Iggy Pop says he’s probably “closing up” after his next album

Rock legend and former Stooge Iggy Pop says his next album—which he’s recording and touring on with Josh Homme, of Queens Of The Stone Age and Eagles Of Death Metal—will likely be his last. Pop made the statement during an interview in support of the upcoming Post Pop Depression, telling Beats 1’s Matt Wilkinson, “I feel like I’m closing up, after this.”

Pop—who’s 68—elaborated that he just doesn’t feel like he has the energy to put a full album together anymore, instead seeing himself as more of a facilitator, capable of bringing people together. “To really make a real album, you really have to put everything into it.
