Newswire: Fox & Friends anchor Heather Nauert named State Department spokesperson

Judging by the thus-far reliable metric of what he tweets and when, Fox News’ morning show Fox & Friends, which airs every morning at the peak senior-citizen hours of 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET, is a favorite of the current President of the United States of America. Donald Trump has repeated statistics he heard on the show verbatim many times—most recently over the weekend, when he retweeted a video supposedly showing people climbing a border wall between the U.S. and Mexico, a topic he was still going on about early this morning.

So perhaps it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that Trump’s administration is moving towards combining the two by naming Fox & Friends co-anchor Heather Nauert spokesperson for the U.S. State Department. (Maybe now he’ll pay attention to his daily briefings.) Nauert has been on Fox & …
