Newswire: David Lynch is curating a predictably weird festival

David Lynch has announced that he’s curating his first festival, known as Festival Of Disruption, with musical performances, talks, and artsy showcases from some of his friends. The event will be held in Los Angeles’ Ace Hotel on October 8 and 9, and all of the proceeds are going to the David Lynch Foundation—which uses Transcendental Meditation to help at-risk people deal with stress and trauma. Now, this festival may seem like an exciting thing for Lynch’s many fans, but from what we saw of his museum exhibit back in 2014, the idea of an entire two-day event designed by the famously weird filmmaker is a uniquely terrifying prospect.
