Newswire: Daredevil casts a new good guy, for a change
Not to be left out of the recent spate of castings hitting its Netflix-based sister series, Marvel’s Daredevil has added a new series regular as it gears up for the second-season battle between Matt Murdock and Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher. Deadline is reporting that Stephen Rider has been cast as New York district attorney Blake Tower, a potential ally in The Devil Of Hell’s Kitchen’s one-man war on crime.
Rider’s a relative newcomer, with only a few small film roles to his name. Still, what with all the murderous vigilantes and deadly assassins that have been joining the show of late, it’s nice to see another good guy sign on to the cast. (Even if “district attorney” is one of those comic book professions that always seems to end with acid getting tossed in somebody’s face.)
