Newswire: Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Drake lead the 2017 Grammy nominations

Lest you thought her reign would be curtailed, Beyoncé collected the most Grammy nominations when the honors were announced this morning. She scored nine nods with selections from Lemonade showing up across the pop, rock, and rap sections, and ended up vying for the trifecta of top prizes: Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Album Of The Year. There, she’ll be facing off against Adele whose 25 has finally become eligible after being released late in 2015. Drake, Rihanna, and Kanye West all came away with eight nominations, although none of West’s music appears in the big three categories. Justin Bieber, meanwhile, did well for himself as track “Love Yourself” is competing for Song Of The Year and Purpose garnered him Album Of The Year recognition.
