Newswire: A new writer crosses the rainbow bridge to Thor: Ragnarok

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel has hired Stephany Folsom to write the newest draft of the Thor: Ragnarok script. Folsom is a relative newcomer to Hollywood, and she’s mostly known for an alternate-history script that made the Black List in 2013 called 1969: A Space Odyssey Or How Kubrick Learned To Stop Worrying And Land On The Moon. She also worked on Disney’s The Princess Of North Sudan, that project about a guy from Virginia who thought it would be cool to go to Africa and just claim a huge chunk of land for himself. (It was not.) A previous Ragnarok writer, Christopher Yost, dropped Marvel for Masters Of The Universe back in August.

Thor: Ragnarok will be directed by What We Do In The Shadows co-director Taika Waititi, and it’ll feature some Hulk smashing, but we don’t know much beyond that. If the other …
