This past Wednesday was the 15th anniversary of Super Mario Sunshine‘s Japanese release. I’ve always had a lot of love for this tropical Mario adventure and had been wanting to write about it for a long time, so to mark the occasion, I booted it back up and replayed it with the last 10 years of 3-D Mario games in mind.
