Great Job, Internet!: Short film turns first-person shooters into giant Lego battles
What if some favorite video games were populated by Lego creations? That’s the very simple yet very entertaining premise behind Andrew McMurry‘s two-minute film “Lego: First Person Shooter.” McMurry takes beloved newer games that all use first-person POV and translates them into one big Lego adventure. Using a blend of CGI and live action, McMurry is able to repurpose games like Portal, Skyrim, BioShock, and Counter-Strike.
It’s interesting how much more whimsical beating someone with a wrench in the city of Rapture becomes when the little hand holding the wrench is a u-shaped Lego claw and the victim shatters into pieces instead of collapsing into a bloody mess.
