Contest: Chicago, win tickets to see Tobey Maguire as chess champ Bobby Fischer in Pawn Sacrifice

From Legends Of The Fall to The Last Samurai, director Edward Zwick has made a career out of staging epic battles and stirring dramas set against the backdrop of war, but his latest puts the conflict on a much smaller scale. Pawn Sacrifice tells the true story of the much ballyhooed chess match between American Bobby Fischer (Tobey Maguire) and Russian Boris Spassky (Liev Schreiber), a face off that garnered a lot of attention thanks to a little thing called the Cold War. The film opened in Chicago this past Friday and, if you’re hoping to check it out for yourself, The A.V. Club is giving away tickets to see it for free at any Chicago-area AMC theater.
