If the potential to be underwhelmed by The Force Awakens has left you feeling anxious, then why not spend the holidays in theaters with something you can count on? SNL alum, two-time Golden Globes hosts, and best friends Tina Fey and Amy Poehler always bring the funny, so their reunion in this month’s Sisters should provide suitable counter-programming during Star Wars-mania. The comedy finds the two (somewhat improbably) playing sisters, intent on throwing one final bash at their childhood home. Flipping the script on their Baby Mama routine, Poehler’s Maura is the straitlaced careerist, with Fey getting the opportunity to play bold and brash as the hard-partying Kate.
