Contest: Chicago, see M. Night Shyamalan’s The Visit early and for free

After a few high profile sci-fi/fantasy flops (The Last Airbender and After Earth), M. Night Shyamalan is returning to his lower-budget roots with this fall’s The Visit. The found-footage film follows two kids on a trip to their grandparents’ house, where things pretty rapidly start to get creepy. Turns out grandma and grandpa aren’t trying to smother their grandchildren with kisses, they just want to smother them. The hilarious and talented Kathryn Hahn plays the kids’ mother, but, if the trailer is any indication, her role is mostly relegated to video chats and Skype calls. Of course, this is a Shyamalan movie, so maybe her calls are coming from… inside the house. The Visit opens in theaters everywhere on September 11, but The A.V.
