Coming Distractions: Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie stare intensely in The Night Manager trailer

Tom Hiddleston sure likes to stay busy. On top of the two films the English actor has slated for U.S. releases (I Saw The Light and High-Rise) and the two films has currently in the works (Thor: Ragnarok and Kong: Skull Island), he somehow found the time this year to take a lead role in a six-part miniseries for the BBC and the Ink Factory opposite two-time Emmy-winner Hugh Laurie.

The Night Manager, based on a novel by spy chronicler extraordinaire John le CarrĂ©, follows a former British soldier turned hotel manager (Hiddleston) who is recruited by an intelligence operative (Olivia Colman) to infiltrate the operations of an extremely dangerous international arms dealer. The miniseries totals six hours, so it’s safe to assume that his mission will encounter some complications: As we can see in the trailer, things will explode, people will get punched, clothes will be removed …
