Big Issues: New Super-Man foregrounds much-needed Asian representation in superhero comics

Each week, Big Issues focuses on a newly released comic-book issue of significance. This week, it’s New Super-Man #9. Written by Gene Luen Yang (Action Comics, Boxers & Saints) with art by Viktor Bogdanovic (Batman: Arkham Knight, Suicide Squad Most Wanted), inks by Bogdanovic and Jonathan Glapion (Batman, Reborn), and colorist Mike Spicer (Extremity, Head Lopper), this issue shows the benefits of embracing different cultures to enlighten stories and improve representation in superhero comics.
